Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC)
Our MVC assessments focus on the psychological (social, emotional, and behavioural) and educational needs of individuals returning to school and/or pre-accident functioning. Psychological support can be provided independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
Referring sources are typically law firms, physicians, case managers, hospitals, occupational therapists, physiotherapists or insurance adjusters
Medical Legal Assessments
Medical Legal assessments are very specialized legal assessments typically reserved for very specific and very adverse life circumstances. For example, a catastrophic injury following a motor vehicle collision. Typically, these assessments are requested by law firms for legal purposes.
Insurers Examinations
This type of assessment is typically requested by an insurance company to assess treatment progress, or for settlement purposes.
Family Impact Assessment
When an individual experiences a personal injury, it is our view that when one member of a family is catastrophically injured, the whole family can be adversely affected. Our Family Impact Assessment examines the post-injury sequelae for all family members – from infants to grandparents.
The Family Impact Assessments is important because each member of the family serves an important role in maintaining the homeostatic balance in a family. If a child is injured, the whole family can be adversely affected in profound and sometimes permanent ways. If a parent is injured, the children can also be adversely affected, depending on their age and a number of other factors. We provide comprehensive assessments about a families post-injury adjustment.
Court Ordered Assessments
Court Ordered Assessments are typically related to matters involving Family Court. We provide section 30 and section 52 assessments, which must be ordered by a Judge.
These assessments are typically requested by the CAS or lawyers representing parents in court proceedings involving their children. Some of the Court Ordered Assessments we offer are:
