Dr. Dawn DeCunha has been a practicing Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years. She has extensive knowledge in the assessment and treatment of complex issues in Trauma through the lifespan. She is also an Educational Psychologist, and has an interest in School related problems (behavioural, learning and social/emotional adjustment). Dr. DeCunha works with Complex Family issues and writes reports for legal purposes (Custody & Access, Parenting Capacity, and Medical-Legal). Her treatment modalities are primarily Cognitive and Behavioural, Mindfulness and Somatically based interventions. She has been qualified as an Expert in Treatment and Intervention in Childhood Trauma, Treatment and Intervention in Child Maladaptive Behaviour, Assessment of Attachment, and Assessment of Childhood Trauma.
For more than 20 years Shauna Gray has worked in the field of psychology and education with adults, parents, adolescents, children, and infants who are in transition, or are struggling personally or inter-personally. She has experience in treating traumas, phobias, anxiety, depression, parenting problems, traumatic brain injury and chronic pain. She utilizes a number of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), attachment-based therapy, expressive arts therapy, and play therapy to help her clients.
Maria is a psychotherapist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. Her primary area of expertise lies within individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents using the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model. Using the CBT model, Maria specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety. She also treats individuals with depression and those coping with adverse life experiences. Ms. Ladd graduated from the University of Toronto with an M.A. in Psychology. She has 15 years experience in psychological testing and therapy. Ms. Ladd worked at the Hospital for Sick Children in clinical research, and has been administering psychoeducational and personality tests at a number of offices in Toronto and York region since 1996. She has also worked as a therapist using cognitive behavioural techniques with children and adults, individuals and groups.
Connor is a yoga therapist with Psychology Works as well as other mind-body centers. He has in interest in movement and meditation to heal the body and increase strength, flexibility and endurance. The outcome is a relaxed state of well being and most importantly, reduced pain. Connor integrates Mindfulness Based Yoga with Active Relaxation to downregulate day-to-day stress. .
